Boho Hoodies & Jackets
Razor-cut, patchwork and made for cool evenings.
Razor-cut, patchwork and made for cool evenings. Our hoodies and jackets are made in Nepal, mostly from cotton rib knit, with patches, embroidery, prints and tie-dye.
Some are light enough to tie around your waist at noon. Others are fleece-lined or made with lamb wool for real cold. Most are relaxed fits that layer over a blouse or dress.
Razor-cut rib knit hoodies
The razor-cut technique slices the outer knit in strips to reveal a contrasting color underneath. It gives each hoodie texture and movement, and no two come out exactly alike. Rib knit stretches, so these are easy to size.
Patchwork hoodies and jackets
Patchwork jackets are pieced from many cotton panels in bright, mismatched colors. Some add owls, mushrooms or printed bubbles.
Fleece-lined and sherpa jackets
For cold nights, our fleece-lined hoodies keep the colorful outside and add a warm layer inside. Lamb wool sherpa sweaters and cardigans are the warmest pieces we sell, good for a late-fall faire or a winter campsite.
Tie-dye and printed hoodies
A few hoodies combine tie-dye with patchwork, and others use printed rib knit in rainbow colors. Wear them with jeans or over a maxi skirt.
How to layer
An unlined rib knit hoodie fits over a tank or light blouse. If you plan to wear it over a bell-sleeve top or a thick sweater, size up so the sleeves are not tight. Fleece-lined styles are bulkier, so wear them over a single layer.
Men and unisex styles
Several hoodies and lamb wool jackets are cut unisex. Check the size chart, since unisex sizes usually run larger than women’s sizes.
Finding your size
Many of our styles come in sizes up to 3X. Each product page has its own size chart, so compare it with a piece you already own that fits well. If you are between sizes, size up in fitted styles.
Care
Hand wash in cold water and line dry to keep the hand-dyed colors rich. Iron inside out on low if needed. Lay wool and fleece pieces flat to dry.
Wool sweaters and cardigans
Beyond hoodies, we carry lamb wool cardigans and button-down sweaters from Nepal. They are heavier than cotton and the warmest thing to throw over a Renaissance dress on an October evening.
What to wear a hoodie with
A razor-cut hoodie over a tie-dye maxi skirt is an easy fall outfit. It also works over leggings and a tunic, or with jeans and boots for running errands. Tie it around your waist at noon and pull it back on at sunset.
Frequently asked questions
What is a razor-cut hoodie?
A cotton rib knit hoodie whose outer layer is cut in stripes to show contrasting colors underneath. It is a traditional technique from Nepal.
Are the jackets warm?
Our fleece-lined and lamb wool styles are the warmest. Unlined rib knit hoodies are best for layering and cool evenings.
Do the hoodies stretch?
Rib knit cotton has some stretch. Fleece-lined and wool styles have less, so size up if you plan to layer underneath.
Are these unisex?
Some are. The product title says when a hoodie or jacket is unisex.
Which jacket should I bring to a fall faire?
A fleece-lined hoodie or a lamb wool sherpa sweater. Both fit over a blouse or dress, and the hoodie is easy to tie around your waist when the afternoon warms up.
How do I wash a razor-cut hoodie?
Hand wash in cold water and line dry to keep the hand-dyed colors rich. Iron inside out on low if needed.
What is your return policy?
