Gemstone Malas & Bracelets

Agate, lava stone and turquoise malas and bracelets.

Semi-precious stone malas and prayer bracelets from Nepal. Agates are the biggest group, in multi-colored, dendritic, amber fire, pink and red sardonyx, and there are also rose quartz, malachite, blue sunstone, black lava stone and seven-chakra malas.

Agate malas

Agate comes in a wide range of colors and banding, so each mala looks a little different. Dendritic agate has fern-like markings inside the stone.

Rose quartz, malachite and sunstone

Rose quartz is soft pink, malachite has deep green bands, and sunstone has a warm shimmer. All three make a mala that doubles as a statement necklace.

Lava stone and chakra malas

Black lava stone is light and porous. Seven-chakra malas mix seven stone colors in one strand.

Bracelets

Our stone bracelets include a turquoise and coral inlay Tibetan prayer bracelet and a semi-precious power bracelet with 10 mm beads.

Wearing a gemstone mala

Wear it long over a peasant blouse or double it around the wrist. It is an easy finishing touch for a faire outfit.

Bead counts and sizes

Most of these malas use 8 mm beads, with a few in 10 mm. Each listing gives the bead size, and many give the 108-bead count.

Frequently asked questions

Are these real stones?

How many beads are on a mala?

Traditional malas have 108 beads. Each product page lists the count and bead size.

What bead size should I choose?

8 mm beads make a finer necklace; 10 mm beads feel bolder and are easier to count.

How do I care for a stone mala?

Keep it dry, wipe with a soft cloth and store flat.
