The hand position is known as abhaya mudra. He usually faces the north. He is also known as Amoghasidhi, one of the five Celestial Buddhas. This Buddha is handcrafted by the skilled artisan of Nepal, Patan whose families have been crafting brass sculptures for centuries with the art being passed on by each generation.
